Disability, Medical Leave or Medical Accommodations

Your health is more important than your job.  We care about your mental and physical health and want to make sure your employer is following the applicable laws.  If your employer refuses to let you take care of your serious medical needs or the serious medical needs of your family members, they may be in violation of federal and state law. 

An employee should never be treated less favorably because she has a history of a disability (such as diabetes or cancer that is controlled or in remission) or because she is believed to have a physical or mental impairment that is not transitory (lasting or expected to last six months or less).
